DIY Sitting Room Makeover | Part 3: Custom Countertop, Painting & Finishing the Cabinetry!

Welcome back to Part 3 of my sitting room makeover! This week, we’re wrapping up the cabinetry with a custom countertop, a fresh coat of paint (or two!), and finally mounting the cabinet doors. 🎉

This video is coming to you a little later than planned—between rethinking my countertop strategy, making multiple hardware store trips, and a spur-of-the-moment paint color change (spoiler: I went back to my original choice!), it’s been a journey! For the countertop, I used my router in a whole new way to create a custom edge, avoiding the need for an expensive router bit.

The paint adventure? I initially chose Fairview Taupe by Benjamin Moore, detoured to Tanglewood by Sherwin Williams, and eventually circled back to Fairview Taupe in an eggshell finish—and it was totally worth it.

Before I dive into Vlogmas, I’m putting this project on pause to let my budget catch up. Starting next week, I’ll be sharing two more casual, vlog-style videos per week, giving you a glimpse into my holiday season. Please subscribe and join me for the festive fun!

Lastly, thank you so much for your patience, support, and for being here. I’m truly grateful for this community! 🤎
